Useful Travel information
U.S. Passports - Passports are required for travel outside of the U.S. Depending on the type of cruise, some itineraries are exempt from this requirement. However, if something were to happen and you needed to fly home from a foreign port, a passport would be required. It is HIGHLY recommended that all passengers sail with a passport. If you choose to use a birth certificate and photo identification, please note that the birth certificate must be issued by a government agency (with a seal and a signature), not by a hospital (such as those with footprints). At every sailing, people are turned away due to improper documentation. This is another reason why a passport is recommended.

Travel Insurance
Emergencies happen when you least expect it. We highly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment. The cruise lines and tour operators charge hefty penalties for cancellation, generally ranging from the full deposit amount to no refund at all. In addition, there may also be charges from the airline and/or hotel that you’re using. Travel Insurance protects you while you’re out of the country, which most health insurance policies will not cover. Travel Insurance is likely less money than you think, and children are often included for free.
